The "Reel" Way to Combat Counterfeit Components!
Presented by Dr. Bill Cardoso, President of Creative Electron, Inc, manufacturer of TruView X-Ray Inspection Systems.
The counterfeiting of electronic components is increasing at an alarming rate. With the potential for high profit, the military, space industries and their suppliers in particular have been targeted due to the high value of the components. Counterfeit component problems extend beyond the component itself, compromising entire assemblies and systems. As a result, visual attribute analysis is no longer enough.
ACI Technologies is hosting a free workshop to present the latest techniques for detecting non-conforming and counterfeit chips. Gain an understanding of current criminal methodologies and be exposed to real-world examples. Experience hands-on demonstrations, see cutting edge equipment in action, and participate in an informative in-depth question and answer session.

TruView nano Selected Most Innovative Product Finalist by CONNECT
San Marcos, CA, December 1, 2010 – Creative Electron, Inc. announced today that its TruView nano was selected as a finalist for the CONNECT Most Innovative Product (MIP) Award. Now in its 23rd year, the CONNECT MIP Awards are San Diego’s “Oscars” for local technology innovation. “We are extremely excited that the TruView nano was recognized in this way by such a sizable panel of distinguished judges. The percentage of counterfeit components in the US Supply Chain is estimated by analysts for the US Department of Commerce at 40%. That is chilling when you consider the amount of obsolete weapons systems in active use by our military and space colleagues. Our TruView nano is the first portable x-ray inspection system for the detection of counterfeit electronic components. Our systems allow for informed purchasing decisions, immediate counterfeit detection, and serve to protect mission-critical systems from counterfeit component insertion. Distributors, and any purchasing agents seeking peace of mind now have the answers in real-time using TruView nano. Each member of the US Supply Chain can afford to have a non-destructive x-ray inspection system with our TruView nano. We are so proud to be able to bring awareness to this dangerous situation” says Kimberly Rideout, Creative Electron’s Director of Marketing.
